Meet Lineup - What am I running?
Goals for Each Meet:
1) Team (maximize relays, team score, and participation)
2) Development (work on a variety of skills and events)
3) Individual (prepare for your best effort in X event on X date)
NEW RULE CHANGE in 2013: Each athlete may compete in a maximum of ANY four events (4 running, 4 field, 4 combination). IESA rule is now the same as the IHSA rule.
SAME RULE in 2013: No athlete is allowed to run both the 4 x 100 and 4 x 200 relay (these events are back to back).
Meet Basics - What do I need to know?
Athletes should come prepared for any weather conditions (uniform, team shirt, shoes/spikes, socks, sweats, jacket, snacks, water bottle).
Pack your meet bag and check the meet lineup the night before!
All athletes are expected and encouraged to stay for the entire home meet to cheer on their teammates in other events.
If you have to leave early for other activities or family obligations, prior arrangements may be made with the coaching staff in advance and you should sign out with Coach Pacey.
